Seungri talks about G-Dragon’s income from royalties


On a recent broadcast of Mnet’s ‘Beatles Code,’ Big Bang’s maknae Seungri revealed G-Dragon’s income from royalties.
In this episode, Seungri–along with Daesung–made an appearance on the show and said, “G-Dragon hyung is currently considered #1 in the Copyright Association… He’s even higher than composer Cho Young Soo.”
According to Seungri, G-Dragon’s income from royalties is higher than the income professional composers get from copyrights. He stated, “G-Dragon has 120 registered tracks under his name. These tracks were not meant to be solely Big Bang’s, but also for his solo album, TaeyangSeungri2NE1,and Uhm Jung Hwa. He’s composed and participated in countless songs.”
In response, MC Yoon Jong Shin commented, “Do you know how much G-Dragon gets paid through royalties?”
Seungri answered, “Because I’ve always had an interest in market researching, I do know his income through royalties,” shocking even Daesung.
Meanwhile, Seungri revealed that he had an interest in education, culture, and business. He even went on to say, “I am operating an academy. It is currently located in my hometown of Gwangju. There is one that opened in Daejeon this year and I’m preparing to open another one in Incheon.”

Park Kyung Lim and Seungri show off comical expressions on “Starry Night”


On April 21st, Park Kyung Lim shared two hilarious photos of Big Bang’s recent appearance on herMBC radio program, “Starry Night“.
She tweeted, “Now that I think about it, it was so chaotic that we weren’t able to take a group photo ㅠ I only have pictures of spraying cologne on Seungri, who had just come from eating meat.”
In the picture, Seungri and Park Kyung Lim are spraying perfume at each other with comical expressions on their faces, which drew much laughter from netizens.
Netizens commented, “I was hoping for a group picture”, “Seungri’s expression is awesome”, “The two of you are very funny”, “You too must match well, right?”, “They click really well”, and “Kyung Lim unnie, I am totally jealous.”

Seungri confesses to streaming his own music to raise rank


Big Bang’s Seungri revealed his secret behind raising music rank.
On April 20th, the Big Bang boys appeared on MBC FM ‘Park Kyung Lim’s Starry Night‘ for the first time in 3 years.
At Park Kyung Lim’s question, “Is there a member who clicks their name frequently to keep their ranking first on search engines?“, G-Dragon commented, “We all use our own computers so I don’t know.” Seungri revealed, “I’ve seen T.O.P. search his name before.
Seungri continued, “There is [this thing called] music streaming. In order to raise our music rankings, I listen to our own songs. You have to listen to the whole song in order for it to count.
G-Dragon stated, “While Seungri was doing his solo promotions, he listened to ‘What Can I Do’ about 100 times.
When Park Kyung Lim asked if T.O.P has done the same thing while doing unit promotions with G-Dragon, he said, “We didn’t really know. We’ll learn from now on and do it.”
Seungri made the entire studio laugh by saying, “For me, I prepared well by researching the market because I thought I should target a niche market.
Daesung was also criticized by the members for wearing a pair of sunglasses.
DJ Park Kyung Lim innocently commented, “With or without sunglasses, you are all handsome.” She also asked, “Before and after putting on sunglasses, who is the most different?” and T.O.P. answered, “Daesung looks funnier when he puts them on.”
Daesung himself explained, “My eyes get way bigger so I look funnier.
At Park Kyung Lim’s request, he put on his sunglasses. After seeing him, the DJ said, “I saw for the first time a person who looks funny after just putting on a pair of sunglasses.” Other members laughed wildly after hearing this comment, saying “You look like Jo Yong Pil sunbaenim.”
